I loved working on this quick little series. The assignment was for Financial Advisor magazine, a great publication. The idea was to illustrate that although our subject, Jim, a financial advisor, serviced clients around the world, he rarely left his home base in Kansas City. Jim was a great sport and played along. I bought a toy plane for the assignment at the airport and used it in the shoot just to add an element of whimsy. Most of what I shot was 35mm black and white infrared, one of my favorite films, but I also broke out the 4x5, another favorite because it forces you to slow down and take everything in.
